Help Preserve Isle Royale’s Historic Places

The Isle Royale Heritage Alliance is building a network of volunteers interested in helping preserve and care for the historic structures and cultural resources of Isle Royale National Park.

We are currently developing the hands-on, in-park volunteer application, qualification, training, and scheduling process in collaboration with Isle Royale National Park and participating organizations. We expect to begin sharing specific 2027 opportunities and inviting applications in the fall or early winter of 2026.

Later this year, we expect to contact you with more information about the 2027 volunteer season, including available opportunities, qualifications, application requirements, anticipated schedules, and the practical considerations involved in volunteering at a remote island national park.
